About us

We are a team of largely saxophone and clarinet enthusiasts. We have a lot of experience with repairing saxophones and clarinets and are fascinated by the mouthpiece mystery. 

One of us is somewhat of a math whiz, and he assumed that, in principle, all mouthpieces can be described mathematically. To demonstrate this, he developed a parametric mouthpiece model in which each mouthpiece can be defined by approximately 30 to 40  parameters.
The model was tested by measuring several vintage mouthpieces and entering the measurement data into the model. The model delivered a 3D-printed mouthpiece that surprisingly closely resembled the original.

Based on this model and the team's knowledge of mouthpieces, we are developing a set of excellent mouthpieces for beginners and experienced players, from sopranino to contrabass clarinet.

All designs have been and will be tested by experienced musicians before publication, and the printed mouthpieces are finished by experts before shipping.

in our team we also have an IT expert that is working on an online version of the design tool to offer experts the opportunity to design their own mouthpiece.
